IDENTITY

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada´s urban charcoal murals are very famous in Madrid. As part of his Identity Series, the artist creates huge murals using people from the neighborhood as models. This one’s not the biggest portrait he did, some are so big, but for some reason I love the expression on the girl’s face. It’s sad that in a few months only, shitty condos will hide the mural. Have a look at his website and check his amazing work: http://www.artjammer.com/

LAZY SATURDAY AFTERNOON

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Madrid is getting ready to celebrate two big events in the next days. First and foremost, the victory of the Real Madrid in the Spanish League of Football. It always comes down to this, they just always win. Party will take place when they officially win, which should happen this sunday, or next game, as usual around the Foutain of Cibeles, and should gather thousands of people! The other event is the celebration of the Dos de Mayo, the uprising of the people of Madrid in 1808 against the occupation army of the French leaded by Napoleon… Next are also some random shots from downtown taken on this week end. Have a nice Sunday!
