Belharra Bière Artisanale

My friend Cédric is the owner and founder of artisanal beer Belharra, named after the famous huge wave from Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Produced right in the heart of the French Basque Coast in Biarritz, this natural beer is getting lots of attention from locals and beer enthusiats. After more than two years in the making, the result is amazing, I love it! Do yourself a favour and order it online here.

SHROOMS!

A few weeks ago I went to pick some wonderful, bright orange mushrooms called niscalos in the forest. Pretty hard to find but had a great time in the wild and ended with several kilos. And they are so good!

PICNIC

My friend Adrián (with whom I did that toy exhibition about a year ago – check it out here) just openned a bar located downtown Madrid (C/ Minas nº1). It’s called Picnic and there are big plans for the place, such as art exhibitions (more on this later I’m sure…) and unplugged shows in the basement! All the best for this great project!

BARCELONA – LIMITEDITIONS X A.R.C. DINNER

While in Barcelona, Guillotine was invited (last wednesday) to a great dinner organized by limitEDitions, A.R.C. and Adidas Originals.

The event took place in one of Spain best restaurants, Tore d’Alta Mar, a 75 meter over the sea platform, with some of the best views over the city of Barcelona. Street Culture big thinkers/makers all gathered in a restaurant is something pretty impressive! How often do you see Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Vans, Asics and Lacoste under the same roof, speaking about the furure of the industry while sharing great Mediterranean cuisine?

Some of the lucky invited ones were: Opium, SlamJam, Stüssy, Gimme 5, Nike (nice to see you again Julien!), Jeff Staple, Crooked Tongues, Adidas, Nice Kicks, David of Highsnobiety, Remix and Sneakers Mag (Italia), Suelas de Goma and Zapapedia (Spain), Sneaker Freaker Spain, A.R.C., Alife Distribution (Whattup Pierre!), Kangol, Gary and Wally from Patta, Concrete, Caliroots, Fred Perry, Goodfoot, Sneakernstuff, Wood Wood, Foot Patrol, Hanon Shop, Starcow, limitEDitions, Leah, Erin and Joanne from M.O.B., Vans, Reebok, Asics, Lacoste, Salomon… Impressive right?

Many thanks to Ricky (limitEDeditions, Chikashitsu and Opium Barcelona/Black is Beauty) for taking care of everything, we’ll remember this for a long time! We loved meeting and speaking to all of you guys! This should take place more often…
