Opening this week in New York, Franklin Parrasch Gallery‘s exhbit, Everything Else, marks the first major piece of Kaws artwork to be publicly exhibited in an American gallery in several years. While a handful of smaller one-off drawings and paintings have popped up in a few other group shows in the recent past, this 50 x 60 inch « Kurf » painting signifies the first public viewing of Kaws‘ newest focused body of art, and is representative of a much larger series of work which will be unveiled this fall at Gering Lopez Gallery.
